SOCIAL Communication Commission Chief of the Indonesian Bishops of Conference (Komisi Komsos KWI) Bishop Msgr. Hilarion Datus Lega has echoed once again his strong commitment to help and to facilitate any program that all members of SIGNIS Indonesia would likely to execute. Bishop Lega’s statement came to light to public during SIGNIS Indonesia’s 2018 annual meeting during a special session happened in Payakumang Pastoral Center run by Ketapang Diocese, 25 February 2018.
Boosting morale
Speaking to tens of participants in the meeting, Msgr. Lega express his personal appreciation to SIGNIS Indonesia to have successfully motivated several social communication commissions in every diocese across the nation to become member of this international organization on pastoral communication services.
It is within this spirit that Bishop Lega has enthusiastically left his Manokwari-Sorong Diocese in Papua to come to Ketapang in West Kalimantan Province for a cause.
He wants to support SIGNIS Indonesia in carrying out its mission to boost morale among its members to become ‘messengers’ of the biblical joy to the people in the society.
Strong commitment to assist
As a journalist and avid writer by himself, Bishop Lega shared KWI’s commitment to help SIGNIS Indonesia. This has been practiced by supporting both morally and financially to any programs that each member likely had to perform with the help of KWI’s Social Communication Commission.
As the chief of KWI’s Komisi Komsos, explained Bishop Hilarion Datus Lega, he is officially authorized to assist any member of this international organization on pastoral communication service to come into force.
His support really matters, indeed.
Strong message
In this within this context that Bishop Hilarion Datus Lega is sending his strong message to Father Kamilus Pantus as his executive secretary in Komisi Komsos to execute KWI’s strong commitment to SIGNIS Indonesia.
“My personal concern is how we can help you to disseminate values to become virtues in the society, despite the undeniable strong influence of super high information technology,” said Bishop Hilarion Datus Lega said a statement.
He also encouraged Kamilus Pantus –the priest in Komisi Komsos KWI—to extend helpful and financial assistance to any member of SIGNIS Indonesia.
