Thirty-second Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 18:1-8
And he told them a parable, to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor regarded man; and there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, `Vindicate me against my adversary.’ For a while he refused; but afterward he said to himself, `Though I neither fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will vindicate her, or she will wear me out by her continual coming.'” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God vindicate his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

THE Gospel today proclaims us about Jesus who tells a story that we must have faith-filled persistence. It reaps the fruit of justice and grace.
Jesus illustrates how God as our Judge and Vindicator is much quicker to come to our defense and to bring us his justice, blessing, and help when we need it. But sometimes we can easily lose heart and forget to ask our heavenly Father for his grace and help.
Jesus gives us fresh hope and confidence in God’s unfailing care and favor towards us. God’s justice triumphs over all the injustices perpetrated by a fallen world of sinful people. God’s love is stronger than death.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while worshipping Jesus Christ we put our faith in him. There we entrust our lives to him that we can look forward with hope and confident assurance. Then we will receive our reward not only in this present life but surely and completely in the age to come in God’s kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, may we have faith in you. May we not give up and lose hope in you. But realize that we can not believe, trust, and persevere with hope if God does not first draw us to you. Reveal to us your merciful love and care that we have persistent faith in you now and forever. Amen.
