The Fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Mark 6:7-13
And he called to him the twelve, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits. He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money in their belts; but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics. And he said to them, “Where you enter a house, stay there until you leave the place. And if any place will not receive you and they refuse to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony against them.” So they went out and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

THE Gospel today tells us about Jesus Christ who calls the twelve to be sent as a teamwork in spreading his Gospel. He gives them authority over the unclean spirits, casting out many demons, anointing the sick with oil and healing them.
People say: Two heads are better than one. Jesus sends out his apostles in pairs, two by two. They are first and foremost called to be witness the joy of the Gospel by fostering communion and charity among themselves.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist we worship Jesus Christ who teaches us the principle of teamwork. As the member of the adorators we are called too as a team in an apostolic colleagiality. We enrich each other with our abilities and qualities.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, you has sent your apostles out in twos. By doing this you teach us about the importance of teamwork. Thank you for the gift of apostolic colleagues. Increase in our heart true fraternal charity for those who work alongside us in building up your kingdom, so that the world may believe that the Father has sent you now and forever. Amen.
