Seventh Week of Easter

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. John 16:29-33

The disciples said to Jesus: “Now you are talking plainly, and not in any figure of speech. Now we realize that you know everything and that you do not need to have anyone question you. Because of this we believe that you came from God.” Jesus answered them, “Do you believe now? Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.”

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN the last verse of today’s Gospel Jesus Christ says, “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” What does it mean for us today?

Jesus Christ knows ur weaknesses. We will have trouble but we have to take courage for he will always be with us.

He says, “I have conquered the world.” His union of love in his life with his Father was the strength that carried him forward to embrace the cross. He wants us too to make his Father’s love our strength.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while worshipping Jesus Christ we believe that God our Father is always with us. He is always within us. So, We are also never walk alone.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, you have overcome sin and death and now you are at the right hand of the Father. But you never leave us alone. Give us the hope that we need to keep seeking your will in all things now and forever. Amen.
