Twenty-Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 12:54-59
Jesus said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain — and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot — and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time? Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way; otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

YESTERDAY, in his homily of daily morning Mass at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis said “We cannot know the Lord without this habit of worship, to worship in silence, adoration. Allow me to say this, waste time in front of the Lord, in front of the mystery of Jesus Christ. Worship him. There in silence, the silence of adoration. He is the Saviour and I worship Him.”
Like Jesus Christ, Pope Francis challenges us to see his sign of God mercy. We really experience the sign of Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist and adoration, miracles and words really meant. Seeing the sign of his presence is a matter of deep and prayerful consideration of the love of God in our lives.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, by living a life of consistent prayer, we are much more in tune with God’s presence. This gives us a profound sense of peace. We know this through faith for you have said, “Yes, I’m indeed here.” Grant us grace to adore you faithfully now and forever. Amen.
