Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Matthew 19:3-12
Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?” He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” They said to him, “Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss her?” He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery.” His disciples said to him, “If that is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” He answered, “Not all can accept this word, but only those to whom that is granted. Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN the Gospel today, Jesus Christ emphasizes what God has intended on marriage and our vocation. All is for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven.
About marriage Jesus says, “From the beginning, … what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” Here, Jesus brings the grace to be able to live as God intended “from the beginning,” that is, before sin entered the world.
And now he brings the grace for us to live our lives before God in a new way after sin entered the world. Through our Christian faith, we are made new creature in Christ. We are transformed into children of God who are empowered to live in holiness. Jesus concludes his teaching that all is for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven.
Thanks to God the trhough his Catholic Church, he grants us Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist. One of the spiritual benefit and grace can be attributed to this movement is renewal of Catholic family. Jesus Christ will bless us, our family and the whole world for this hour of faith we spend with him in the Blessed Sacrament. Do we realize the important of the Perpetual Adoration for our vocations and our families?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, we must make the transforming encounter with you. Give us the faith and confidence to believe with all our hearts that your grace is enough for us. Make us holy through your new way of life now and forever. Amen.
