Eighteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Memorial of Saint Alphonsus Liguori, Bishop and Doctor of the Church
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St.Matthew 14: 13-21
Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them and cured their sick. When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” Jesus said to them, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” They replied, “We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish.” And he said, “Bring them here to me.” Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

DEAR Sisters and Brothers, from the Gospel reading today we can learn that there is no greater joy than offering some quality time, one-on-one, heart-to-heart with the person we love the most. Wonderful and special things will really happen when we open our hearts to Jesus Christ, the One we love.
Let’s learn this lesson from Jesus Christ. He is often and always in Heart-to-Heart with His Heavenly Father. He always unites to his Father. He offers the moments of solitude he can spend speaking with him of the things they loves, especially their greatest love for us.
And Jesus Christ always presents God’s mercy for us. His greatest love is us. He cannot stand to see us in need. His Hearts melt when he sees us suffering. United with his Father, he can perform miracles whenever he wants and however he wants. This is the lesson we can take from the Gospel today.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while adore Jesus Christ we learn to be in heart-to-Heart with him. He will always melt to see us suffering. Do we try to always be in heart-to-Heart with him?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, help us to know you better as the only person who loves us more than anyone else in the world. Help us to make you the true priority in our life that we always try to be in heart-to-Heart with you and the we too always melt to others suffering now and forever. Amen.
