A Story
Can people be jealous of other people’s high-level abilities? Of course the answer people can envy in a positive sense. That is, envy can spur someone to progress himself.
Success someone can help others to spur himself in achieving success. Envy like this leads people to be better. People want to constantly learn to get better.

A few years ago, dangdut singer Iis Dahlia not only envy the Java Jazz Festival which is flooded with visitors. But even more so she envied the attitude of the performers of the show. Beginning in March 2010 and then at the home of the US Ambassador in Menteng, Jakarta, she met American pop singer Eric Benet.

36-year-old Iis said, “That night he will perform, but his attitude is casual. He even gave the guests a seat. No committee is busy finding him a chair.”

Then she compares Benet’s attitude with the acts of the country’s artists. She said, “Wow, try if our artists, certainly the committee busy looking for a chair. I admire that the famous Eric did not feel special.”

She feels she can learn many things from foreign musicians about special treatment. She said, “I’m a singer can learn a lot from foreign musicians in Java Jazz. Especially about the feeling that always wants to be treated special.”

Reflection
A spiritual teacher, teaches his students to treat each other well. The greatest must be the servant of his fellowman. No need to consider himself very important.

That way, life will get better. Why? Because those who have a higher ability to serve others. Those who have a lot of wealth can encourage each other to constantly work. In this way, prosperity will be achieved by many people.

Therefore, we must dare to learn to serve others. The strong and good do not have to wait to be served. Yet, people should have a high readiness to want to promote the life together.
Often we experience in life that there are many people are reluctant to serve others. They feel, other people have to serve them. Other people should care more about them. As a result, there is stagnation in human life. If everyone wait to be served, who will start first to serve?

Therefore, as believers, we should move our hearts and minds to serve our neighbors. In doing so, many good things will be found in life. We can promote common life. God bless.
