Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 21:1-4
He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury; and he saw a poor widow put in two copper coins. And he said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all the living that she had.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

WHAT can we learn from the Gospel today? First of all, we learn from the poor widow about the true love. True love grows with gratitude and generous giving.
Secondly, we learn about the real giving which comes from the deepest of our heart. It is done by the poor widow. Surely, she can keep one of her coins, but instead she recklessly gives away all she has! So Jesus praises her for she gives the smallest of her coins but with all her whole living.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while worshipping Jesus Christ we learn to offer our heart to God. We offer him a gift given out of love, with a spirit of generosity and sacrifice, in our prayer.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, in your eyes, nothing given in love is worthless. What we offer may look very small and not worth much, but we put all we have at your disposal. So, no matter how insignificant it may seem, we believe that God can do with it and with us what is beyond our reckoning. We give out of love and gratitude for what you have already given to each of us for your glory and for the sake of others mow and forever. Amen.
