Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to Gospel Lk 15:1-10
The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” So Jesus addressed this parable to them. “What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
“Or what woman having ten coins and losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully until she finds it? And when she does find it, she calls together her friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’ In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord.
Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

FIRST off all, I’m so sorry for not sending my daily reflections during several days before. In our daily lives, we sometimes feel resentful or get upset when someone else gets treated better than we think they deserve. This is a message we can take from the Gospel today.
We read that the scribes and Pharisees took great offense at Jesus because he went out of his way to meet with sinners and he treated them like they were his friends. The Pharisees had strict regulations about how they were to keep away from sinners.
Most of all, from the Gospel today and of course from Jesus Christ, we learn to treat others with mercy and kindness. With love and mercy, Jesus Christ searches us until what he has lost is found.
In Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist; although since today I can’t do it any more, but at least I have to do my sacred visitation before the Most Sacred Sacrament in the tabernacle; I worship Jesus Christ who does not rejoice in the loss of anyone, but desires that all be saved and restored to fellowship with him. Thanks be to God for his love and mercy!
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, let your light shine through each of us that others may see your truth and love and find hope and peace in you. May we never doubt your love nor take for granted the mercy you have shown to us. Fill us with your transforming love that we may be merciful as you are merciful now and forever. Amen.
