Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Mark 3:13-19

He went up the mountain and summoned those whom he wanted and they came to him. He appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) that they might be with him and he might send them forth to preach and to have authority to drive out demons: (he appointed the Twelve:) Simon, whom he named Peter; James, son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, whom he named Boanerges, that is, sons of thunder; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus; Thaddeus, Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gospel today tells us about Jesus Christ who appointed the twelve apostles to collaborate in his work of salvation. As Jesus involved the apostles to work of the evangelization; so he has willed that we collaborate with him in his plan of salvation as well.

Jesus Christ wants to involve us in helping people to come to know, love and serve him. As he called the apostles by name, so now he calls us by name as well for he knows each of us well. Even he knows us better than we know ourselves. He invites us to be with him in his work of salvation.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist we worship Jesus Christ who doesn’t call us just to enjoy the present life but he has given us a specific vocation that only we can fulfill. To be adorator is the opportunity that we have to share in this friendship with Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is an invitation to do something with him and for him.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, we believe that through our baptism you have invited us to share in your friendship. You have given us this grace as the guide to help us in our salvation. We love you, Lord, because you have loved us first. Yes, we love you, Lord, for calling us to be your disciples ans friend. We may be mere sinners, but with you, Lord, we believe that we can do great things in your name for the sake of the salvation now and forever. Amen.
