Twenty-Third Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 6: 39-42
He also told them a parable: “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully qualified will be like the teacher. Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Friend, let me take out the speck in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

TODAY’S Gospel tells us about Jesus Christ who says, “Can a blind person guide a blind person?” What does it mean? It is obvious that a guide needs to see. When a blind person guides a blibdoth fall into a pit
In fact, with this word, Jesus Christ is revealing his divine identity. Why? Because, if we are talking about guiding people to the kingdom of God, then Jesus is the way. He is the way, the truth and the life (cfr. John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the one who has come from his Father; so surely that he knows the way.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while worshipping and adoring Jesus Christ we can reflect on his importance and centrality to our journey to heaven. There we learn from him the steps which lead to salvation and eternal life but we must be humble and remain very close in him. Do we let him guide our life to our journey to heaven?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, help us to grow in humility to follow your guidance. Sometimes we are very proud. We so easily get wrapped up in ourselves, our perspective, our needs and our wants. Help us to see the faults in our life that you want us to start working on now and forever. Amen.
