The Seventh Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Mark 10:13-16
People were bringing little children to Jesus in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he became indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.” And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN the Gospel today Jesus rebukes his disciples who prevent people bringing little children to Jesus in order that he may touch them. He sternly speaks to them, “Do not stop them!”
In the Church today, many of us also fail to understand, and by our lack of understanding we prevent children from coming to Jesus Christ. But in fact, Jesus Christ insists us to bring them to him, now! He also never rejects us to come to him.
Jesus Christ is so anxious to touch, bless, teach and receive not only the children but also each of us, the sinners. He knows that we want to love him as his friend.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist we worship Jesus Christ who says that we must receive the kingdom of God as a little child. The more we experience Jesus Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist and adoration, the more powerfully he renews the grace of receiving his Kingdom.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, renew our relationship with you. Make it as simple and sincere as that of a child. We desire that you take us up in your arms, lay your hands on us, and bless us each day. We trust that you will show us how to do this better. We love you, Lord, and we wish to love you with the fullness and innocence of our baptismal faith now and forever. Amen.
