Fifth Week of Easter
Feast of Saint Mark, Evangelist

Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Mark 16: 15-20

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that accompanied it.

This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN the Gospel today, Jesus Christ says, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”

Jesus Christ sends and blesses his apostles. Now he sends us to proclaim the good news to the whole creation. He does not only send us but also blesses us. When he blesses, it happens, even abundantly.

Now he also sends and blesses us and our works. He blesses us through the Eucharist. He is there for us. In the end of the Eucharist Celebration we are sent to go to proclaim his love to the world.

In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while worshipping Jesus Christ we draw down his blessing upon us, our family, the people we love, and the work we do. All we have to do is ask him to bless us and believe that he can and wants to. He will take care of the rest.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ thank you for giving the apostles the strength to resist and persevere. Now it is our turn. Grant us the graces we need to proclaim the good news in our lives today through Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist forever and ever. Amen.
