Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time
Memorial of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Religious
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Matthew 7:6,12-14
Jesus Christ says, “Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you. So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets. “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

LET’S meditate two things Jesus Christ teaches us in the Gospel reading today. These are about pearls and narrow gates of holiness and salvation.
Pearls are very great value and priceless. It makes a person appear more beautiful. It symbolizes holiness which radiates the beauty of God’s truth, goodness, and glory in the way we think, speak, act, and treat others.
The road to seek the holiness is not easy. We have to pass through the narrow gates. It leads us to a life of security, happiness and holiness.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while adoring Jesus Christ, we are working and struggling toward salvation. There we enter the narrow gates toward holiness.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, help us to see, that our real dignity lies in treating others well. May we faithfully enter the narrow gates of salvation to seek precious pearls of holiness now and forever. Amen.
