“YOUNG people, don’t bury your talents that God has given to you. Don’t be afraid to have big dreams,” said Father Blasius Sukoto SCJ, Moderator of Youth Commission for Archdiocese of Palembang, quoting words of Pope Francis.
“Learn everything. Learn more and more,” Fr Sukoto continued at a recollection for more than 50 participants of Asian Youth Day (AYD) and volunteers at Giri Nugroho Retreat House Palembang, South Sumatra, Saturday (29/7).
There are two main points discussed at Lucia Hall of the Retreat House.
- First, the discussion of what AYD participants should do.
- Second, technical works during the Days In Diocese.
The Archdiocese of Palembang is one of the 11 dioceses that hosts live in program for the 7th Asian Youth Day itself will take place in Yogyakarta, Semarang Archdiocese from August 2 to 6.
The recollection started from 08.00 am, opened with motion and song of AYD’s theme song 2017. The participants and volunteers then introduced themselves in a joyful style.
