Memorial of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Luke 21:1-4
When Jesus looked up he saw some wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury and he noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins. He said, “I tell you truly, this poor widow put in more than all the rest; for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

THE Gospel today tells us about Jesus Christ who sits before the temple treasury. He notices a poor widow putting in two small coins and he praises her. He says that she has offered from her poverty, her whole livelihood. Surely, she has given more because she gave herself with a heart full of surrender.
From the Gospel today we can learn to give God our trustful surrender. Like the poor widow we have to give to God with trust since we know that God would continue to care for us. We have no other real desire but to be with him and be enriched by him only.
In the Perpetiual Adoration of the Eucharist while adoring Jesus Christ we offer God our trustful surrender. We have the hope of one who knows deep down how much God loves us. How much do we trust and depend on him?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, teach us to share joyfully all that we have received! May we never cease to thank you through our own self-giving. May we be more generous, to give more often and with more love to those need our help now and forever. Amen.
