A Story
A young woman is so proud of herself. Why not? Although still young, she has carried her family name on high through the achievements she achieved. Yet, the young woman is still humble. In her point of view, the key to her success is that humility.
“My achievements are not first because of my ability. There are so many people involved in this achievement. There is my mother who always accompany me every time I perform for the races. There are teachers in the school who are so attentive to me. There are good friends who support me. So I thank you for the involvement of so many people in my life,” she said.
For this teenager, the involvement of others in her life is an expression of love and concern for her. Although she had an exorbitant achievement, it turns out she realized how important the involvement of each other. Therefore, she thanks to all those who have helped her. She tries not to forget the merits of his neighbours.
Reflection
The story of the teenage girl shows that she acknowledges her limitations as human being. Achievements that he achieved was not based on her ability alone, but also the support of others. Supported by those who care about her. She found life more meaningful because of this situation. He does not fight alone in this life. Apparently there are others who want to have attention to her.
One’s involvement in our lives is a form of appreciation for this life. Peace and serenity come when we experience others involved in the journey of our lives. Conversely, peace will be created in this world when we get involved in the joys and sorrows of our fellow lives.
There are people who feel that their involvement in other people’s lives is just a waste of time. Of course this view is wrong. Why? Because life is becoming more valuable and meaningful, when we involve ourselves in our fellow lives. That is, we want to care about the joys and sorrows of our fellow lives.
Our involvement in living together is a manifestation of our faith in God. It is even more beautiful when we are constantly doing good things in our lives. Kindness becomes the center of the life of the faithful.
As believers, awareness of the importance of involvement in living together becomes a necessity. We do not live in our own world. We do not live only for ourselves. But we live in togetherness with each other. In that togetherness, we build a peaceful and prosperous life.
We also realize that living together is not easy. There are various obstacles in living together. But we must be sure that God always accompanies us. God is also involved in our every path of life. Let us constantly engage in life together. Thus, life is becoming more peaceful and prosperous. **
