Fourth Week of Easter
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. John 14:1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

IN this modern world, when we will go to a place we still do not know where it is then we need a Global Positioning System (GPS). It helps us to reach the place we want to go.
Something like that is happening in the Gospel today. To Thomas’ question, “How can we know the way?” Jesus gives himself as the answer. So Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus is not only our spiritual GPS to heaven but also our true way. In him we know the way with infallible precision. He is our best spiritual GPS and the sure way through this confusing world to reach the true life.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist, while worshipping Jesus Christ, we keep our relationship with Jesus always on our spiritual GPS. There we really believe in him that he is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, with the truth of your love, we have the answer to basically any question we need to ask. What a comfort it is to have you as the Truth in this world of jaded souls and in this climate of relativism. How empty is the life that doesn’t know your joy. Thank you for this time of prayer for adoration. Grant us a greater intensity in our relationship with you, the Way, the Truth and the Life now and forever. Amen.
