“It was about a little girl in Brasilia. She was brutally beaten by her parents. As the result she lost all the physical movements, as well as the ability to speak. Once admitted to the hospital, she was cared for by a nurse who said to her every day: ‘I love you’. Although the doctors assured her that the child could not hear and that all her efforts were in vain, the nurse continued to say, “Don’t forget I love you”… Three weeks later, he recovered from her movement. Four weeks later she could talk and smile again. The nurse newer gets interview but … we never forget: love cure!” (p.220-2).
It reminded me long time ago when my mother got sick and paralyzed. After stayed in hospital for 2 months, she was brought home because the doctors told us, “No more chance to cure her. Doctors have given up!” Her life was predicted to last for few weeks.
Although the doctor has judged her, my father never gave up. We just continued to pray for her, to support her, to love her more! ..to keep her spirit alive. Every morning and after dinner, together with my brothers and sisters, we prayed for her and kept the faith for her health. We did it every day. I knew that she really suffered because of her sickness. however, she never allowed herself driven to despair, very tough!
It was so unusual; she wanted to dress up that morning. She might feel that ‘her time’ was almost coming. It was really true. God came and took her life from us that day. My father embraced her body till the last breath. So sad of course. But she died in peace with a beautiful smile in her face. The doctors told us, “It was was really a miracle that she could survive and lived that long. She was able to live for almost two years, Meanwhile the doctors had predicted to survive for few weeks only. it is a gift!”
Every time talking about my mother, I know his great love to her. I could feel it in his great patience to take care of her while her sickness for a long time. Even now, he keeps praying for her although they have ‘separated’ for almost 30 years!
True love never ends. It always reveals the greatness in its ‘unlimited and immeasurable patience!’ That is why it cures and brings its pure energy to life. It creates miracles!
