Fifth Week of Easter
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. John 15: 9-11
Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

SOME people say, “Jesus Christ, yes; the Church, no!” Of course it is not fair and not right. We cannot say, “Jesus Christ, yes; the Church, no,” we cannot accept Jesus Christ but reject his Church, because the Church is the mystical body of Jesus Christ. The two are inseparable as head and body.
The Church is Jesus Christ’s extension through time. Through its sacraments and its sacred teachings, the Church makes Jesus Christ present for us today and in the future.
Through his Church, Jesus Christ choses his ministers. He choses the Apostles to continue his work of redemption throughout the ages. Therefore, we love his priests and his bishops. We love also our Pope, the Holy Father. He is the rock on which Jesus Christ choses to build his Church.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while worshipping Jesus Christ and remaining in his love, we thank him for giving us the Pope, bishops and priests. The Eucharist is available all over the world because of the fidelity of priests, bishops and the Pope.
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for our Church. We want to remain in your love. We want to remain enthusiastically in your Church. We want to support the Church with joy; giving of our time and our sacrifices now and forever. Amen.
