Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Dear my friends,
Here is the Gospel for us today according to St. Matthew 12:46-50
While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
This is the Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

JESUS says in the Gospel reading today, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Thanks be to God, in the name of Jesus Christ we are all united as one family, God’s family.
Surely, we are all part of God’s family. We are all his brothers and sisters and mothers by doing God’s will (see also Mark 3: 35). He welcomes us who do his will.
In the Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist while adoring Jesus Christ, we learn to be faithful to our vocation as part of his family. The family of Jesus Christ is eternal. Do we realize thankfully that we are part of God’s family in Christ? How do we try to doing God’s will as his children?
Let’s pray: Lord Jesus Christ, without you we can do nothing, but with you, we can do all things. We believe that you are truly present in the Eucharist and Perpetual Adoration of the Eucharist. Grant us the grace to know your will and to do it in our life now and forever. Amen.
